Already， we start off great with the opening dialogue taking two。 Freaking。 Chapters。 I don’t remember much from the first 2 books， as I read them some time ago。 I did like them， but they weren’t my favorite books of all time。 I also haven’t read the Lux series so I had no emotional attachment to any of the characters。 Which was why actually reading this book hurt。 I just skipped through most stuff。 The “love” or liking I took to these characters died down。 The book was boring anyway。 It was jus Already， we start off great with the opening dialogue taking two。 Freaking。 Chapters。 I don’t remember much from the first 2 books， as I read them some time ago。 I did like them， but they weren’t my favorite books of all time。 I also haven’t read the Lux series so I had no emotional attachment to any of the characters。 Which was why actually reading this book hurt。 I just skipped through most stuff。 The “love” or liking I took to these characters died down。 The book was boring anyway。 It was just talking and talking and talking and talking and- oh， look， some action at the end and CLIFFHANGER？！ that could potentially be exploited into making the series longer？ What？ *Gasp！*Evie， for a protagonist， was alright。 She was lukewarm。 Nothing special。 She feels sort of real， at least。 Like， a teenage girl。 Luc was cute at times but， I’m sorry， I cannot stand their whole “I would burn the world for you， I would kill and torture anyone *just* so you can be at my side， I would sell my soul to the devil if it meant you’d love me” or whatever loveydovey variation they used。 It got irritating and annoying and I really don’t like it。 No， don’t brush off killing dozens of people cuz me wov you。 Go seek some therapy， you psychopath。 On a serious note， that’s so unnecessary and ughh。 I get why Luc is sort of like that， but for Evie to be like “I’d do it too！！！” was kind of out of character。 I needed at least someone to be the moral compass。 Oh， and making Luc suggest to saving some abused kids doesn’t make him a good guy。 It’s a pathetic reach at saying “LOOOK！！！！ He isn’t that bad！！！！！”。 Puh-lease Evie。 There are better guys than this。 Zoe was alright too。 Daemon annoyed me and I don’t like him and his wittle wewationship with Kat （as I mentioned， no personal attachment to these guys。 I was kind of counting on the birth to go wrong， and was disappointed it didn’t。 Yes， I’m being morbid， and no， I don’t wish death upon real life people。 I’m only doing it because they’re fictional character。 Yeah， I really wished the baby died。 That kind of contradicts my Luc and Evie point but that’s several people， not one annoying child）。 I don’t remember anyone else that annoyed me to some degree。 At this point， I don’t care anymore。 1。5 stars for kind of being okay？ And for Evie and Luc being sort of cute at times？ 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Contains spoilers。。。 I’ll have to start with something that is probably an unpopular opinion。 Blake coming back from the dead is like the best thing ever。 I know everyone hates him and wants to see him dead but I just love all the drama he brings along。 I really want him to live， not necessarily out of empathy but because he always causes trouble and I love that。 I just feel like the story needs him 🤷‍♀️。 I’m also so curious to see what happens with him and Chris and how they decide to deal with Contains spoilers。。。 I’ll have to start with something that is probably an unpopular opinion。 Blake coming back from the dead is like the best thing ever。 I know everyone hates him and wants to see him dead but I just love all the drama he brings along。 I really want him to live， not necessarily out of empathy but because he always causes trouble and I love that。 I just feel like the story needs him 🤷‍♀️。 I’m also so curious to see what happens with him and Chris and how they decide to deal with him。 I mean from an objective point of view they all deserve to live and die but everyone is so guided by their emotions。。。Idk， I just loved that plot twist。 And ever since he died I kinda wanted him to come back。 I accepted that he was dead but I couldn’t stop thinking about how I wanted him to come back into the story。 So that was awesome for me。 I also loved to have all the characters from the Lux-series back and see them interact。 Seeing how everyone evolved into a more mature version of themselves is everything I needed。 🥺I think I liked the plot of the Lux-series more but Luc is probably my favorite character of all the books that are related to the obsidian story。 I already thought he is the coolest thing in the universe while reading the Lux-series hahaha and I loved to see more of him。 Seeing how everything got really tense at the end of the book got me so excited。The end of the book was such a shock and I can’t wait for the fourth book。Oh and I also want to know more about Grayson。 He’s so mysterious， I feel like he deserves his own book。 。。。more

I feel like this is a frequent story line she uses。 The love interest ends up becoming the Ultimate Bad Guy and takes off leaving the protagonist behind vowing to bring him back and make him Good again through the Power Of Love。 But uhm， what the fresh fuck。

3。5 starsIt has been awhile since I actually finished The Brightest Night but while I was able to keep reading other books I couldn't really get myself to review it。 I usually only read backlist books so reading a newish book with cliffhanger wasn't something I was preparing myself for even if I should've。This isn't the official cover for the hardcover book but I really love that fanmade purple one and I didn't find a cover for the signed hardcover I actually have。I was exited to see Evie having 3。5 starsIt has been awhile since I actually finished The Brightest Night but while I was able to keep reading other books I couldn't really get myself to review it。 I usually only read backlist books so reading a newish book with cliffhanger wasn't something I was preparing myself for even if I should've。This isn't the official cover for the hardcover book but I really love that fanmade purple one and I didn't find a cover for the signed hardcover I actually have。I was exited to see Evie having scenes with side characters and we finally had Hunter content！ I hate how they couldn't trust Evie though but thankfully now Luc trusted her completely。 He didn't even hesitate like when her mother was around。 I'm was glad to see Evie becoming a strong character who didn't need Luc protecting her or standing in front of her。 She's no damsel in stress and she can keep people she loves safe as long as she doesn't loose herself。All in all I don't think much happened until the ending？ After being so exited when I finished the second book I just wasn't in love with the third one。 And now I might need to wait years for the next book。 This series means a lot more to me now that it did after the first book。 。。。more

HeartbreakingAfter reading the end。 I was frozen into silence。 Wow！ Dud this just happen， damn！The correlation between fiction and reality with the virus that the Daedalus unleashed is frightenly similar to 2020。 The devious plan for controlling out of fear。 How could you have seen this coming Jennifer when you wrote this？

Another JLA masterpiece I absolutely love Jennifer’s writing style and how she creates these amazing characters。 Although this is a spin off from the Lux series this Origin series has definitely become its own entity。 I love seeing characters from the Lux series make appearances here in this 3rd book。 Evie and Luc have definitely grown individually and as a couple。 I could not put this book down and that ending tore my heart out！ I cannot wait for book 4

JUSTE WAOUH ！！ cette fin est incroyable。Pour en revenir au tome entier， j'ai déjà beaucoup aimé découvrir cette zone où vivent humain， luxen et autres extraterrestres。 Assez compliqué de voir qu'Evie n'est pas vraiment accepté dans cette communauté， mais c'est normal vu tout ce qu'ils ont vécu。J'ai aimé qu'ils lui ont tous fait confiance après qu'elle est tué un cheval de trois。 Ils ont compris qu'elle était pas là pour les blesser ou détruire leur communauté。Effectivement la lecture est assez l JUSTE WAOUH ！！ cette fin est incroyable。Pour en revenir au tome entier， j'ai déjà beaucoup aimé découvrir cette zone où vivent humain， luxen et autres extraterrestres。 Assez compliqué de voir qu'Evie n'est pas vraiment accepté dans cette communauté， mais c'est normal vu tout ce qu'ils ont vécu。J'ai aimé qu'ils lui ont tous fait confiance après qu'elle est tué un cheval de trois。 Ils ont compris qu'elle était pas là pour les blesser ou détruire leur communauté。Effectivement la lecture est assez longue mais on est tellement plongé dans cette univers qu'on est plus contents de découvrir tous les personnages， de retrouver les LUX， de voir comment ils ont évolués。Grayson est un super personnage， il apporte tellement à la lecture je trouve， et j'ai hâte de le découvrir encore plus dans le tome 4 car je pense qu'il sera très présent， et un des premiers à vouloir retrouver Luc et à la rammener。 L'idées des enfants qui vivent seuls dans la ville juste à côté de la zone est super ！ Et Nate qui se rapproche d'Evie， je n'avais pas imaginé le piège Dédale， je me suis dit que c'était louche mais pas aussi impressionnant。 On ne peut pas lui en vouloir à 13 ans et ayant vécu pendant 3/4ans seul， avec que des enfants plus jeune que lui。。。 J'espère aussi le retrouver dans le tome 4。Découvrir l'évolution du couple Evie et Luc était super dans ce tome。 J'ai aimé les voir s'apprivoiser， apprendre à se connaître encore plus， à se faire confiance， à s'aimer plus que de raison。Je ne m'attendais tellement pas à cette fin， je n'arrive pas à comprendre ce que voulais la Dédale， pourquoi ils avaient une obsession sur Evie et je savais à la fin de ma lecture du tome 2 qu'ils voulaient piéger Luc。 Mais je ne m'étais pas imaginée qu'ils arriveraient à le manipuler de nouveau。 Pourtant après réflexion JLA nous avait laissé pas mal d'indices。 Peut être trop pour s'imaginer se clifflhanger de fou ！ Elle nous a prouvé au fil de notre lecture qu'Evie et Luc avaient une très forte connexion， qu'il arrive à absorber la source d'Evie， à parler avec Evie par les pensées。 Et en fait tout était prévu par la dédale。 Ils se doutaient qu'Evie et Luc allaient réussir à se parler par pensés et que Luc aurait voulu sauver Evie。。。Et cette fin， où Evie retrouver toute sa mémoire， sa vie de Nadia。。。 Luc lui prouve son amour jusqu'au bout。 Car en absorbant la source il pouvait encore contrôler quoi lui donner comme information et Luc n'a pas failli。Il l'avait déjà dit qu'il était prêt à se sacrifier pour Evie， mais j'espère que la Dédale n'arrivera pas aussi facilement à le contrôler ！ J'ai confiance en Luc。Tellement hâte de lire le tome 4 ！ si j'ai bien compris pas avant 2022/2023。。。。。。 。。。more

Okay， so I read a lot of JLA books。 I enjoyed 36% of this book。 Easily predictable， which I'm okay with that。。。 but mother Evie/nadia and luc were insufferable in this book。 Honestly， I read pretty but this book took me for ever to open it。 It reall isnt until the last 4 chapters or so that I was engaged in the story。 It took me a week to finish it， I kept putting it down and read two other fanfic books of ACOTAR series。 The author has some good stuff out there， and you may really enjoy this boo Okay， so I read a lot of JLA books。 I enjoyed 36% of this book。 Easily predictable， which I'm okay with that。。。 but mother Evie/nadia and luc were insufferable in this book。 Honestly， I read pretty but this book took me for ever to open it。 It reall isnt until the last 4 chapters or so that I was engaged in the story。 It took me a week to finish it， I kept putting it down and read two other fanfic books of ACOTAR series。 The author has some good stuff out there， and you may really enjoy this book， I hope you do。 I just didn't enjoy most of the book。 It was filler/fluff that wasnt needed。 Maybe if there was less of that I would have enjoyed it。 I did like that the author including most of the main characters from the other series in the book。 But the back and fourth between evie/nadia and luc， uuuugh。 I enjoyed the Luxen series， i enjoyed obsessions with hunter and serena， and I enjoyed the first two of the Origin series。 I hope I enjoy the 4th book more then this one。 。。。more
